Controlled Substances in Research

Do you have questions about shipping a controlled substance domestically or internationally? The U-M Office of Research Controlled Substances Monitoring program provides assistance to researchers and their staff with all controlled substance regulatory questions, including shipping requirements.

Export Compliance

U-M's Export Control Program provides export control assistance to U-M researchers and their staff for outgoing international shipments. 

Do you have questions regarding the following requirements?

1.       Have you conducted Restricted Party Screening for your shipment?

2.       Do you know the export classification for your shipment?

3.       Do you need an export license?

4.       Do you need to file an Electronic Export Information (EEI) filing?
